The first “non-ambulance assist” call of the year was to a male rambler who slipped in the snow – and banged his head on stone steps near in the Rivington area. We were called to the scene along with the air ambulance and were required to marshal a landing site in the busy public area of Great House Barn, where the casualty was transferred to a waiting land ambulance (Read the BEN article on this incident here).
