Our Team Leader, Deputy Leader and senior member Mike Marsh all took part in a one day Local Authority Emergency Planning seminar held on Sunday 3rd March, organised jointly by Wigan MBC and Bolton MBC.
Representatives from the British Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, RAYNET, and WRVS. also took part in the days proceedings culminating in a “tabletop exercise” centred around a passenger jet crashing onto Smithills moor, with a debris trail extending over Horwich and into Aspull.
The seminar presented a useful opportunity for all the voluntary aid groups present to come together and exchange ideas, whilst meeting face to face.
