2 team landrovers and 7 personnel were dispatched from duties at the Rivington Pike fell race to attend a GMAS incident involving a 37 year old mountain biker on the relatively inaccessible Outwood Trail, near Radcliffe. A GMAS crew had reached the casualty who had suffered a serious head wound and had called the team in case of difficulty getting their vehicle back to the main road. The casualty was stretchered in the rear of a team landrover and transferred into a GMAS ambulance at the nearby roadhead. Personnel involved then returned to the fell race.
