An early morning start for 3 team members today. At 06:00 hours they began the arduous task of a day-long standby rescue cover for the “Pike View Hike” – a scout event in the West Pennine Moors, a joint event with members of the Manchester Scouts RAYNET. Beginning with a kit inspection at Hulton Park, they were later joined by 5 other members to assist with the cover of the route over the remainder of the day. Amazingly, out of 14 teams, only one group of scouts managed to find their way off the beaten track!
