On the same day as the above, 18 team members were at Rivington in support of the Horwich New Heart Appeal Pike walk, providing two on hand rescue vehicles and our usual standby rescue cover. 74 walkers took part and the team received a grateful donation of £45 for our attendance. As thankfully is the usual case with these events fortunately nothing occurred which needed our help, but as previous events have often taught us: you never know what might happen.
