4 team members travelled to Squires Gate airport at Blackpool, to visit the headquarters of Helimed 08 – the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) . We were educated in the kit they carry, what considerations they must make in terms of both weight and size, as well as their callout criteria. Unfortunately our visit was cut short, as they were called to attend an RTA near Abbey Village, just south of Darwen.
