Today 42 team members involved in another M2002 Commonwealth Games practice event, albeit this was the national Elite Road Race (Cycle) Championship 2002, involving 18 laps of the 11.7km circuit at Rivington – 210.6km in total! Again we were present alongside multiple LAS resources, the ATACC team, on hand to deal with any competitor and/or spectator incidents. We assembled at 07:00 hrs in the morning and finished at 18:30 hrs in the early evening. Unseasonal cold wet weather kept spectators to a minimum, with the only incident of the day (aside from a few bumps and spills) being a member of the press who sustained an ankle injury within the start/finish complex. Our next M2002 event is Wednesday 24^th July.
