Today was the first proper M2002 Commonwealth Games event for us. Today was the time trials in and around Rivington village, would all the training work? would we get fed? All fell into place magically. Team Leader Garry Rhodes actually ended up running Lancashire Ambulances Mobile Major Incident Control Unit, know as Ajax 1. This entailed organising the resources of Lancs Ambulance, St John Ambulance, Helimed 08 & BMRT. For those of us who witnessed this feat, he did very well ! Even impressing the Lancs Ambulance officers present.
