In the early evening our team, joint with Rossendale, were called out by LAS, following a report of a helicopter crash landing in the Bull Hill/Cadshaw Bridge area on the outskirts of Darwen. A major Fire, Police and Ambulance response took place including Helimed 08. It was established quickly that the French registered Gazelle helicopter had made an intentional landing, and that the initial call had been a FAGI (False Alarm, Good Intent). We were therefore stood down responding.
