Almost the whole team was present on this evening, for a Mayoral Reception at Bolton Town Hall. The reception and buffet was courtesy of the Mayor of Bolton Councilor John Walsh OBE, and his wife, the Lady Mayor, to thank the Team for its considerable help with local M2002 Commonwealth Games events and also to recognize the contribution Bolton MRT makes within the Bolton community.
The Mayor led an interested party of Team members to view the Bolton MBC civic silverware and other civic items, followed by a tour of the Council chambers, [where the Mayors knowledge of the history of Bolton Mayors and coats of arms proved encyclopedic !]
The Mayor found particular favour with the Team for providing wine and beer rather than the usual cups of tea !
All members enjoyed the evening and our thanks are expressed to the Mayor & Lady Mayor for their hospitality and interest in the teams work.
