A full team callout was initiated today to assist Greater Manchester Ambulance with a seriously injured 14 year old male, near to Elton reservoir, Bury. He received suspected C-spine injuries, suspected fractured tibia, fibia & query fractured femur after taking a fall from a motorcycle. He received medical treatment from GMAS Paramedics and was carried by team members to the Greater Manchester Police helicopter India 99, which airlifted him to Royal Bolton Hospital. This incident received coverage on Granada TV local news and was a first for the team, in having digital stills pictures taken on-scene used in a TV news broadcast.
