Today saw Team members Paul Jorgesen, Louise Jorgensen & Dave Healey attend a meeting of the Bolton MBC & Wigan Council Emergency Planning Consortium Voluntary Agencies meeting. Together with representitives of St John Ambulance, WRVS, British Red Cross, RAYNET, Bolton MBC & Wigan Council, this was the second meeting of the group. The group was brought together to see what each voluntary agency can offer each other; in the event of an incident requiring all agencies to work together. As always with meetings like this much lively discussion took place and lots of ideas were passed between all concerned. One outcome of the meeting was to arrange a exercise, in which all involved with the meeting can take part.
It is hoped at the next meeting to have presentations, by all involved, so we can have a greater understanding of what each agency does and how we can work together better. As usual the food was an added delight as well !!
