Early evening saw a request from Greater Manchester Ambulance Service. They had reports of a two vehicle RTA on the M61, one vehicle had gone down the embankment and a casualty was lying in a ravine. The Team was mobilised to help extract the casualty from their location. On arrival of the first GMAS ambulance, it was found that the casualty’s location wasn’t as precarious as first thought so the Team were stood down responding. Once again, this highlights, the excellent inter-agency working the Team now has and how quickly the 999 services call us out when we may, or in this case may not, be required.
