The team was called at noon, to assist GMP in the search for a missing 65 year old woman in the Marsh Green area of Wigan. This search had a sad outcome with the discovery of the womans body in the River Douglas, in an area being search by the Team. Members remained on scene to help preserve the incident scene for the Police and with the assistance of Greater Manchester County Fire Service helped recover her body. Again it was an excellent example of inter-agency working, this time with GMCFS. This sad incident was concluded by midnight, let us not forget that it takes an hour or so after we have arrived back at base to clean and re-equip the vehicles for the next call.
