Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

6th November 2002

Today saw a group of 10 regular drivers get better acquainted with winter driver skills, such as putting on snow chains, use of the Hi-Lift jack, towing procedures. This was undertaken in the nice dry and warm main workshop of Greater Manchester Waste Ltd in Bolton, arranged with the help of Fred Taylor [a trainee team member & GMW employee] & the Managing Director Mr S T Jenkinson, to whom we are very grateful. These conditions will not be the same when we have to put what we practiced into operation, most likely cold, wet and frozen hands will be the order of the day.
