Seperate to this incident, in the early evening OVMRO requested the use of the BMRT Landrover to utilise the PA system, to pass some messages to walkers who were flashing their torches on the hillside. It was quickly established they required no help, so the Landrover returned to OVMRO base. OVMRO now realise how useful these can be and will be purchasing some for their own vehicles.
