11 Team members were away on a social mountaineering weekend based at Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation HQ. 2 Team members had just returned from a walk, and were requested to assist OVMRO in the late afternoon with the rescue of a young woman, who had sustained a suspected fractured ankle, in the general area of Y Gribin, Cwm Bochlwyd. The casualty was airlifted off by an RAF Seaking from C Flight 22 Squadron RAF Valley, which returned to collect our 2 members, the 3 OVMRO members and 2 friends of the casualty down to the OVMRO HQ at Bryn Poeth.
