While we sit and think of what the New Year has for us, we ended 2002 with 49 membership enquiries by email [Online via the website] and letter, alongside a great many other telephone enquiries. Very few of these enquiries result in a new team member; “…you mean its not a paid job… ” “…what I have to attend training every Wednesday night !!!…” “… how soon do I get to drive the Landrovers on emergencies…” Yep ! we’ve heard them all. A recent open evening, followed by a full day taster for potential new members, has seen two new “recruits” join our ranks.
