Sad news to start off May, with the resignation from the team by Paul Jorgensen, a team member since May 1990, who for job reasons and family, has had to stand down from the team. ( His wife Louise, another team stalwart, and who joined in November 1991 also stood down in April this year, after giving many years of sterling service. ). Paul has served on the Team Council in many posts, has been one of our Call out primary contacts, and also acted as one of our “Operational Deputy Leaders “. he has also assisted in the past with MPSRO regional MRT training courses, as well as representing the team at many operational / liaison meetings with our colleague MRT’s and Statutory Emergency Services. Paul ( along with Louise, who tended to be out in our vehicles on the night ) also controlled and coordinated our New Years Eve / New Years Day GMAS / LAS assistance duties. ( since the first one in 1999 ).
We all wish both Paul and Louise well for the future ( maybe the house decorating will get done now !!!!!!! )and thank them both for their considerable personal input into the team during their membership.
