Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

24th July 2003

Thursday & Friday saw twelve Team trainee drivers attend GMP Driver Training Unit at Openshaw for a Emergency Response Driver Awareness course. The Team and its newly qualified drivers would like to thank instructors for the course Mark Harrison & Martin Neal for their excellent tution and advice given to us over the two days. The course showed us how a response driver can benefit from positioning and how the use of the emergency equipment can help with a smooth passage through even the worst traffic in Manchester. The twelve members are all to go on to an Off Road driving course shortly, so that they can drive safely and show what to do when things go wrong off road in the Land Rovers.
