Winter Hill Fell Race 2004
The team was on hand to once again support the Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletics Club 22nd Annual Winter Hill Fell Race, held over a demanding 11 miles course, with 2700 feet of ascent. 33 team members were on hand, in control (MRT), spot pick up crews, a portable radio link and at event checkpoints, to assist the organisers in the smooth running of the event. 126 runnrs took part, in full winters sunshine, with 3 retirements and no incidents or injuries to mar this excellent event. A Team collection tin at the event registration raised £27.59 for the team, with a further donation from the event organisers promised.
