Whilst parked up at Lower House, Rivington, three team members in our Landrover Ambulance, BM2, were approached for assistance by a woman walker, who’s nephew had sustained an arm injury, whilst in the vicinity of the Pike. The woman had carried the 6 year old boy down, and chancing upon our Landrover, asked for assistance.
Our members suspected a fractured left arm, and transported the woman and child, ( after splinting the boys arm ) to their car on Rivington Hall Drive. ( the childs Auntie took the child onto Royal Bolton Hospital ). It subsequently transpired the woman was the sister of a long retired team member from the 1980’s. ( It’s a small world )
