Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

21st August 2004

The team would like to congratulate James Crossley on reaching the summit of Mount Kenya on the 4th of August.

James Crossley on the summit of Mt. Kenya.

As was previously reported on the 5th of June, James volunteered to climb the mountain in order to raise funds for ourselves and a local cancer care charity. Although one of the party had to turn back before summiting due to altitude sickness, James carried on with a guide, porter, and cook. James said ” We reached the summit just at sunrise, about 06:30, and it was AWESOME and worth every ache and pain.”

The fantastic view James got as he reached the summit.

James, the aches and pains will go away but the memories will stay with you for ever, from all of us in the Team Well Done!

You can still sponsor James, by getting in touch with Mark Dooley on fo@boltonmrt.org.uk
