We received today the fantastic donation of £1000.00 from the Horwich Carnival Committee, arising from charitable donations made during the Horwich Carnival Races, Street Procession and Street Collection. (£1000.00 was also given to the Bolton Guide Dogs for the Blind) During the all day Horwich Carnival races, the whole team was present to provide Standby Rescue Cover for the many running and cycle races, as well as spectator cover. The team is grateful to Horwich Carnival Committee, for joint nominating us their Charity of the Year, to Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletics Club, and of course to the many townsfolk and visitors to Horwich on the day of the Races, who so freely donated to the Charity Collection(s).
