Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd November 2004

Our Teams’ dog handler, Dave Marsh (and Search Dog Chi), represented SARDA
England last week-end at the Northern Ireland Search Dog Assessments. Dave
journeyed up to Stranraer, across to Belfast and onward into the Mountains of
Mourne, where the were taking place. The community building at
Attical served as a base for the course of the weekend.

During the time, three dogs and handlers were assessed for their mountain
search skills, with two people passing the course. The third was an
unfortunate valiant failure due to the fact he had been present at the birth
of his 9lb baby son, who choose to arrive at 4:00am on the first day of the
course.
