Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

25th December 2004

With the North West experiencing a wonderfully festive Xmas Snowfall, our Team Leader was contacted by, and in contact with, GMAS Ambulance Control, during the evening of Christmas Eve on Friday 24th December, regarding the availability of the team if required, if the forecasted deep snow falls actually came. Arrangements were made to ensure the team could make available vehicles if required, but as it was enough snow fell to ensure Santas Reindeer had something to pull the sledge on, but not enough to warrant our being Called Out.
On Christmas Day, with icy roads and snowfalls throughout the day, our Team Leader was again contacted by GMAS Ambulance Control, and again arrangements were made to ensure our vehicles were available if required, but thankfully for all our families and Christmas meals our services were not required.
