Apologies to any of our supporters who turned up today for our previously advertised team collection day at ASDA Middlebrook, Bolton. Unfortunately this event had to be cancelled at late notice as the possibility existed of the team being called out to continue searches in the Darwen area. See incident 12/2005. As it turned out, the team was not required today and unfortunately we missed out on a fundraising opportunity.

Cancellations of fundraising events are not unusual particularly as these are always supported by our operational members because of the lack of a support group in the team.

In 2005 we hope to address this issue by the formation of a team support group that would assist team members on such collections, and allow the collections to continue should active callout list members be called away for whatever reason.
