Our Fundraising Officer, Mark Dooley whilst collecting today, was met by a very grateful person who unfortunately was still in a wheel chair !
The lady involved in Incident 18 this year, on Wilders Moor, near Two Lads, had journeyed all the way from her Ormskirk home to meet the team at ASDA today, and say a big thanks for her rescue by us.
It turns out she had broken her leg in three places, and is likely to be wheelchair bound for another six weeks.
Mark was further surprised to receive a very kind £50.00 donation from this lady.
All the team wish her a continuing recovery to full health and a return soon to the hills, although she did say to Mark, she’ll “be avoiding the Two Lads area !”
