Incident 26/2005

At 10:34 in the morning the team was contacted by GMP to futher assist in the continuing search for the still missing 30 year old male in the Bolton area. Given that most of our team had been deployed throughout the previous late evening and morning, a request was made for assistance to our colleagues in Rossendale & Pendle MRT.

The hunt is almost up for The MRT member as the Police draw in.

A large scale intensive search of the Heaton Cemetery, Gilnow Park, Gilnow, Queen’s Park, and the River Croal area took place throughout the daylight hours involving 16 Bolton team members, our search dog Chi, 8 RPMRT members, including their search dog handler Stephen Garafalo and his search dog Roy, backed up by over 15 Police officers. The search which was coordinated from our Ladybridge Hall base (first time use for this type of incident) was concluded early in the evening at 18:45 with a negative result.

Police Officers using the base as it was intended, as a control location..

GMP enquiries as to the whereabouts of this missing person are continuing.
