Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

12th February 2005

Congratulations are in order for our colleagues in Cheshire Lowland Search and Rescue Team, a member of ALSAR (the Association of Lowland Search and Rescue Teams, a sister organisation to our Mountain Rescue of England and Wales organisation). As reported on their website, they had their first operational call out on February 8th, a search for a missing person in Widnes.

Cheshire Lowland SART formed last year, and has been working up to operational status via an intensive series of training exercises, including an invite by our team to an exercise in November last year, that we arranged for Greater Manchester Police. (The Cheshire troops said they thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working alongside us on this search exercise). Good luck to all at Cheshire from all at Bolton, in your future operations.
