Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd February 2005

Today we received some fantastic news from St. Matthew’s Church, Brownlow Way, Bolton. They have nominated us as their charity of the year after reading about the team’s activities in the local press following on from recent publicity regarding high-profile incidents that the team has attended, and then seeing the team at the ASDA, Astley Bridge collection. A conincidence occurred when one of the church members’ cars broke down in Bolton, and awaiting the recovery vehicle, she was looked after by a former team member (we don’t know who!). In the group’s own words, they “felt they were being directed to us” !

The presentation of the cheque will take place in September of this year.
