As the previous incident was concluding, our Search dog handler dave Marsh was paged to assist Rossendale and Pendle MRT with a search in the Heptonstall area of Lancashire. He had requested a navigator when news came in he was not required. This has not been recorded as a team incident but is illustrative of a small number of calls Dave receives every year, which has him packing kit, finding maps, loading his van, getting the dogs ready only to be stood down again without even leaving his home address.
