Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

6th March 2006

Between 17:22 on Wednesday through to 15:15 on Saturday this week, the team attended no less than 6 Mountain Rescue incidents, ranging from the usual fractured bones that are commonly associated with the cold and snowy weather, right through to the 12 hours searching for the missing 11 year old boy in Bury, which had a very sad outcome.

The icing on the cake came on Sunday afternoon when we assisted GMAS with regular ambulance calls during a “Peak Demand” period, bringing the total number of incidents attended in past 5 days to a rather exhausting 19!
