At 18:29 today GMAS contacted the team requesting assistance at an incident on Breighmet Golf Course, on the outskirts of Bolton.
A 17 year old male had fallen from a rope swing into the shallow waters of Blackshaw Brook on the immediate edge of Breightmet Golf Course, sustaining possible knee, leg and wrist injuries. A GMAS ambulance crew from Highfield ambulance station had managed to access and treat the youth, but required the team’s assistance for the stretcher carry back across the golf course to their waiting ambulance on Bury Old Road, Breightmet.
Team members assist the casualty onto the Bell Mountain Rescue stretcher
27 team members and 4 vehicles responded with the casualty leaving the scene at 19:27.
As with the previous incident this callout is representative of the superb working relationship the team now enjoys with GMAS Paramedic Emergency Control and GMAS operational crews.
