The team today provided standby rescue cover for the annual Darwen Tower Trudge, organised by Darwen Rotary Club, which took place on a route from Sunnyhurst Woods across to Roddlesworth Reserviors, over Darwen Moor to Darwen Tower, and returning to Sunnyhurst Woods.

Despite a poor weather forecast which resulted in heavy rain, 84 persons took part in the main walk, with a large group of Brownies taking part in a smaller local walk. 13 team members, in 4 team vehicles were immediately on hand to provide cover with others available by pager if needed. Despite terrible weather conditions, all persons successfully completed the walk.
