As part of a pre-planned response to an anticipated peak demand period on GMAS, arising out of demands made on the ambulance service during and after England World Cup matches, the team was asked to provide vehicles and response crews for this evening, along with our colleagues in Oldham MRT and St. John Ambulance Brigade.
The team provided 3 team vehicles and 12 personnel and commencing with the first call at 20.20, dealt with 3 calls up to 22.45, which were all urgent transfers in the Bolton areas.
The team is happy to provide such assistance to GMAS during such peak demand periods as part of GMAS’s Resilience Plan.
Specific details of each incident can be seen in our online incident database.
