This evening GMAS, as part of a pre planned operation, requested our team and Oldham MRT to provide vehicles, if the need arose, due to a possible peak demand situation being made on GMAS.

13 Bolton MRT members were available to assist, and remained on immediate standby at their home locations whilst our Team Leader and Deputy Leader maintained liaison with GMAS PEC to ascertain how the night was progressing.
In the event the teams services were not required.

This standby has not been recorded in our Incident figures for 2006.
