Today the team provided its usual standby safety cover for the annual Winter Hill Fell Race.
Heavy snowfalls on Friday evening and the early hours of Saturday had given way this morning to a rapid thaw, low cloud and chilling wet temperatures of 5øC, ideal conditions for this rigourous 11 mile serious fell race involving 2,700 ft of climbing.
169 runners took part in the event with nearly all completing the course despite the atrocious early conditions which mid-way through the race gave way to clear skies.
34 team members and members of our support group took part in providing cover for this event, with thankfully no injuries to report.
We are very pleased to be associated with this event and will be giving it our full support next year.
