Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

13th March 2007

This evening, the Team was pleased to accept as visitors to our Ladybridge Hall base three Officers from Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council. Malcolm Cox, Director of Environmental Services, Ros Baxter, Head of Service – Civil Contingencies and Cath Nally, Civil Contingencies Officer.

All three were treated to a tour of the base by our Team Leader, Garry Rhodes, and experienced Team Member (& Council Member) Chris Tennant.

Garry & Chris also gave the three officers a comprehensive insight into the work of the Team and also an inspection of the kit contents of two of our Land Rover Ambulances.

Malcolm, Ros & Cath were all impressed with the evenings presentaion (and the light buffet, provided by Chris) and had their many questions on the role of mountain rescue answered by Garry & Chris.

The Team welcomes the opportunity to have direct contact with members of our local Civil Contingencies Team (Emergency Planning as was) and this builds upon the existing relationship we have with Emergency Planning / Civil Contingencies at a County level.

Garry & Chris would like to thank Malcolm, Ros & Cath for their interest shown in the Team during their evening visit.
