All day today team Call Out list member Paul Brain at the kind invitation of Cheshire Lowland Search and Rescue Team, has attended a Pre Hospital Casualty Management Training Day organised by Trauma Resus Limited, to which principal invitations to attend had gone out to Cheshire LSAR and SJAB (Chester)
Held at the Warrington Headquarters of the St John Ambulance Brigade, this full day course attracted participation from 9x members of St John Ambulance Brigade (Cheshire), 17x members of Cheshire Lowland Search and Rescue Team and of course our Paul Brain.
Covering vital casualty care skills in pre hospital trauma management, topics covered included airway management, ventilating casualties, C Spine immobilisation, ballistics trauma, chest trauma and lower spinal management amongst a very wide range of associated topics.
For Paul, the experience of today has complemented the teachings of our own Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Certificate Course, and will add to his confidence and knowledge when taking the written and practical examinations froming a part of this Certificate Course.
