Following our provision of standby rescue cover for the annual Winter Hill Fell Race, this year held on Sunday 10th February (see news article), today we received from the organisers, Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletics Club a very kind £250 donation to the team.

Next year’s event is provisionally scheduled for Sunday 8th February 2009 to which the team have already pledged its full support.

We are very grateful to race organiser Tony Varley for his part in organising the event and for his role in providing steadfast support for the team via Horwich RMI Harriers & AC.

The next Horwich RMI Harriers & AC event that the team is associated with is Rivington Pike Fell Race on Easter Saturday 22nd March when we will be providing full standby rescue cover for this historic event.
