Happy 5th Birthday to our friends in Cornwall Search and Rescue Team, the youngest Mountain Rescue Team to form in our national organisation which is now in its 75th Anniversary Year.

In the formative period before Cornwall Team became operational we hosted a visit by their Chairman Andy, and Team Leader Jim, as part of their tour of other MRTs gleaning ideas on how to organise and develop their formative team.

In 2004 we donated over 40x sets of Pertex/Pile ’Buffalo’ jackets and Sprayway Waterproof Mountain Jackets to the Cornwall Team when we were fortunate enough to gain sponsorship for our current clothing.

Since Cornwalls early years our Team Leader has maintained contact with Andy and Jim at Cornwall, and they have gone from strength to strength.
