Back in May, the team received an enquiry from Margaret Nolan, the daughter of Ray and Joan Grayshon of Prestwich.

Margaret’s parents were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on the 31st May and they had very kindly asked their family and friends to make donations to Bolton MRT and the North West Air Ambulance in lieu of gifts for their Golden Anniversary celebrations. To that end the team supplied a number of collection boxes for the celebrations which were held at Whitefield Conservative Club.

Ray & Joan chose Bolton MRT & the North West Air Ambulance as they have always been into ’The Great Outdoors’, and wanted to support two local, relevant charities.

Of the 75 guests present at the celebrations, a grand total of £540 was raised which was split 50/50 between both charities, resulting in our team receiving a very generous and thoughtful donation of £270.

So a huge thanks to Ray, Joan, their daughter Margaret and to all the guests who kindly donated to ourselves our our colleagues at the North West Air Ambulance. Everyone at Bolton MRT would like to wish Ray & Joan all the best on their Golden Wedding Anniversary and all best wishes for a continuing happy and healthy future together.
