Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

7th August 2008

Today we recieved a £75 donation from valued Team supporter David Bissett.

In the letter attached with this kind donation,David Bissett mentions that his son Iain had phoned him to ask ’..do you remember what we were doing 3 years ago dad.. ?’ Well to our readership let us explain.

Iain fell injuring himself three years ago at Ousel Nest Quarry, overlooking Jumbles reservoir, – see our incident 73/2005. Iain injured his back in the fall with the Ambulance Service and the team coming to his rescue and evacuation from the quarry to the Ambulance.

From that meeting David Bissett and the Bissett family, have become very valued team supporters, with David regularly updating us on his sons climbing trips in the UK and worldwide.

All members present on that day in 2005 are pleased to hear that Iain is continuing with his outdoor interests and very impressed with things ’bagged’ during a recent 9 month break travelling, including Aconcajua, Kilimanjaro and something ’ unpronounceable ’ in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Once again, our thanks to David and the Bissett family for their very kind donation and continuing support of thre team.
