Thanks to the hard work of a small group of team members, including our equivalent of ’Challenge Anneka’ Elaine Gilliland, and Blake Jackson, Peter Heeley and Matthew Hailwood, the decorating works at our Ladybridge Hall premises are nearly complete.
Very special thanks are made to Elaines dad and brand new Support Group member Howard Gilliland, who has lent his time and support through all this work.
He was even left paintbrush in hand by his daughter, when at Ladybridge, Elaine received the call out message for Incident 79 on Saturday 9th August and off she went to the call out leaving ’dad’ to complete the painting.
All that is now left is floor painting our garage and seperate toilet / shower block, both of which require specialist floor paints for which we hope we can find a kindly supplier willing to donote enough grey and red floor paint.
On a related matter and with reference to our ’news’ article dated Friday 1st August 2008, regarding decorating, Jackie Mather of Leyland Decorating Centre, Bolton, contacted our Team Leader Garry Rhodes today with a request from the manager of Leyland Decorating Centre, Bolton, Peter Hughes, to visit our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ to take some pictures of the Base / HQ and team members to feature in the in house magazine of Leyland Decorating Centre.
Readers will recall that Peter very kindly through Leyland Decorating Centre donated paints and decorating materials to the team, as a thankyou to our involvement in the search for his staff member Jackie Mathers brother Andrew Smith who sadly drowned in Anglezarke Reservior on 14th May this year – see Incident 57/2008
Peter Hughes and hopefully Jackie Mather will visit the team on the evening of Wednesday 3rd September, when we hope all the decorating tasks will be completed.
