Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

16th August 2008

Today team members joined with colleagues from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service at an open day at Bolton Fire Station, held as a fundraising event for the Firefighter seriously burnt recently when called to a house fire in Bolton.

The day was judged a great success, with major participation from all parts of the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, including displays of specialist Fire Appliances, Water Rescue Unit, Urban Search and Rescue Team, Fire Investigation and USAR dogs, Fire Cadets and vintage Fire Appliances.

Local celebrities Amir Khan & Surrane Jones also took part alongside considerable local media interest.

Six team members were present throughout the day including our Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon, with a display of two of our Landrover Mountain Rescue Ambulances and our Control trailer.
