Bolton MRT Support Group Spring Fayre
With just over a week to go, plans and preparations for our Support Group’s first independent event, a Spring Fayre, are now well advanced.
The Spring Fayre is to be held throughout the day on Saturday 9th May, at St Mary’s Church Hall, Horwich, also the venue for our popular November Ceilidth.
As well as a large number of stalls hosted by our Support Group, there are a very large number of independent stalls, who will all contribute an amount of the money raised to team funds.
The stalls include, fancy goods, hard & soft back 2nd hand book sales, food stalls, handicrafts, celebration card stalls plus all the other stalls you would expect at a typical Spring Fayre.
This Spring Fayre represents the culmination of many months of planning by our Support Group, with Support Group member Johanne Lamb, taking a lead role in many aspects of its organisation.
A great many local businesses have supported the event by way of fancy goods & other donations, with a raffle already running in association with the fayre which will be drawn on the day of the event. A huge number of raffle prizes are on offer.
Publicity via local leaflet drops has already commenced, with posters also being put up in the Horwich area.
The Crown Newsagent, Horwich, has kindly agreed to place leaflets for this fayre in all his weekly newspaper round, to residents in the Lee Lane, Lever Park Avenue & Winter Hey lane areas.
Team call out list members, who will be at another event on Saturday 9th May (a standby rescue cover in Belmont), are also playing their part by carrying out a door-to-door leaflet drop in the streets around the St Mary’s church hall venue on weekday evenings next week prior to Saturday.
With so much on offer at the Fayre we hope it will be a resounding success.
To all our readers please advertise it amongst your family and friends, pop down and support us and also pick up 1 or 2 of the real bargains on offer, we even have some childrens bicycles for sale at fantastic prices!!
Watch the website for more updates over the next week.
