Incident 37/2009
En route to this evenings training exercise at Worthington Lakes, Team member Craig Lamb stopped to give assistance to an RTC outside the Balcarres Arms, Haigh Rd, Haigh, Wigan.
The accident involved a 39 year old male moped rider who had become unseated sustaining shoulder, head & facial injuries.
The first person on scene was a passing Doctor, who gave immediate casualty care, being assisted by Craig on his arrival. Team members Neil Warburton & Dave Carter also passing by, stopped to give their assistance.
All were joined by the arrival of an NWAS (Manchester) ambulance from Standish ambulance station and together the ambulance crew, our Team members & the Doctor treated the injuried man, which included placing him on a long board for onward travel to Wigan Royal Albert hospital.
Greater Manchester Police officers also attended this incident.
Our three members were involved from circa 20:00 Hrs to 20:30 Hrs.
