Fantastic donation presentation by the wonderful Calendar Girls of Greenbank Sheltered Housing
Regular readers of our website will recall that the young lady members of Greenbank Sheltered Housing, Horwich, recently shed their clothes for a charity calendar, with all proceeds going to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
At 2pm today, we were pleased to host another visit to our Ladybridge Hall Base/HQ by the wonderful ladies of Greenbank Sheltered Housing, who brought along a fantastic donation of £1,300.00 for the team.
This is a much appreciated, very generous donation to the team and was made during a laughter filled afternoon between the ladies of Greenbank Sheltered Housing, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, and our Vice President Tony McNally.
The kind ladies all commented on the excellent tea made and served by our Team Leader whilst Tony McNally looked on (there was also comment about the size of our teapot!)
The team would like to express its sincere thanks to all the young ladies who got their kit off to support the team, with particular thanks to Barbara Howell, Jean Haslam, and Edna Foy.
We understand from the ladies that Greenbank Ladies Calendar Sales went to all points of the compass including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, the USA, France, Scotland, Wales and England – and even Bolton and Farnworth!
Thanks very much ladies! (p.s. the team still has a small number of these calendars for sale at £6 each. Please order via 38 Heathfield Drive, Tyldesley, Manchester, M29 8PW)
