Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

13th February 2010

Throughout today, helped no doubt by the fine wintry sunshine, the team held a very successful (the first of the year) Collection Day at the Moss Bank Way, Astley Bridge, Bolton, store of ASDA.

Four Call Out list members, Seven Probationary members and five members of our Support Group raised throughout the day the fantastic grand total of £389.03 with obvious thanks to the kind support of all the shoppers at ASDA, Astley Bridge.

A great many shoppers thanked the team members present for all the work we have carried out in the local community over the recent wintry weather period.

Early in the morning during the collection, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE also met with Maureen Heggie of the nearby ’Team Eagley Bank Fundraisers,’ who are supporting the team as their ’Charity of the Year,’ for 2010 / 2011.

The team would like to thank the management of ASDA, Moss Bank Way, Astley Bridge, Bolton, for once again very kindly allowing the team to hold a collection day at its store, without such support as this from the local commercial community we would find our fundraising efforts to be much more difficult.
